Asset Optimisation and Trading is best described as Vattenfall’s commercial hub. We trade the full range of energy commodities such as power, gas, oil, coal, renewables and emissions, take responsibility for the sourcing of fuels and carbon credits as well as optimise Vattenfall’s generation units. You will represent the Communications function on the trade floor in Amsterdam providing communication support and strategic advice to management and staff. Having our ears to the ground in the business is crucial to strengthen the internal information flow within the organisation as well as to other internal and external stakeholders.

As a member of a new international team of Communications specialists, you will initiate and manage a large variety of communication projects across borders to support business growth. You will investigate interesting stories to help building employee commitment to the corporate values and business goals as well as write commodity market reports, newsletters and articles for internal and external publication. In support of Vattenfall’s media activities, you will handle media requests and provide spokespersons with press releases, background material and messages. You will organise internal and external events, conduct brand building initiatives and closely cooperate with Human Resources to strengthen the employer brand.
